Itinerary

Meet your guide and driver at the Farap/Alat border crossing with Uzbekistan. Complete the border formalities. Drive to Turkmenabad (a short drive) and then continue to the city of Mary. The drive from the border to Mary is approximately 4-5 hours. Visit your exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ancient Merv. You will visit key historical monuments, including: Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum Greater and Lesser Gyz Kala fortresses Erk Kala and Gyaur Kala Other historical ruins and sites in the vast Merv Historical Park. Night at the hotel.

Visit the Mary Regional Museum of History and Ethnography to see a collection of artifacts from Merv and other archaeological sites, as well as exhibits on Turkmen culture. Drive towards Serakhs. The drive will take several hours. Drive to the Serakhs border crossing with Iran. Complete border formalities and say goodbye to your Turkmen guide as you cross into Iran.

If the traveler stays more than 3 working days in Turkmenistan, the travel agency will register and stamp your passport on a local Tourist Board
