You'll explore the ancient capital of Kunya Urgench, then head to Darvaza to witness the mesmerizing gas crater in the Karakum desert. In Ashgabat, you'll tour the city's remarkable white marble architecture, including the Arch of Neutrality and the Alem Ferris wheel. The journey also includes a visit to the Kow-Ata underground lake, the historic Nissa, and a horse farm showcasing the Akhal-Teke horses. You'll then travel to Mary, where you'll explore the ancient city of Merv, one of the most significant sites on the Silk Road, before concluding your trip at the Farap border. Itinerary

  • Arrival at Turkmen border “Dashoguz” from Uzbekistan. Crossing the border. Meet with your English speaking local guide at Turkmen side. Drive to Kunya Urgench 110 km (UNESCO 2005) ancient capital of Khorezm. Lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch drive to Darvaza .En route stop at some typical dunes of Karakum desert enjoy with photos. In the evening enjoy the spectacular and fascinating view of the gas crater. Barbeque style dinner. Overnight in Darvaza.
  • Breakfast picnic style. After breakfast drive to Ashgabat (270 km). Sightseeing tour in Ashgabat the capital of Turkmenistan that has recently been noted by the Guinness Book of World Records as having more white marble buildings than any other city in the world. “Alem” Ferris wheel, panoramic tour to the “Bagt Koshgi” (wedding palace) Independence Monument. Independence Park, this Park is one of the city’s attractions, embodying the spirit of modern Turkmenistan. Arch of Neutrality is a viewing platform. Overnight in Ashgabat.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast drive to Kow-Ata underground lake that is located 107 km from Ashgabat. The Turkmen name Kow-Ata means Father of caves. At first glance, this underground area appears like a magnificent auditorium: the overall length of the cave is 230 m, its height reaches 20 m, and its width is at some points 57 m. The bottom of the cave is covered with lumps of dissolved limestone (stalagmites), and its warm and gushing water is clear and emerald colored. The water has a constant temperature of 33-37°C. (You should swim in a lake). Continue with Nokhur village. The village itself fills a small depression valley in the mountains of the Kopet Dag Range, and the houses are been built with local boulders cemented with mud. Overnight in Ashgabat.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Nissa Historical Park - located on a natural high platform at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. Nissa owes its importance to the early Parthian rulers who took over control of the area in III c. BC. Then visit horse farm for exploring the pride of the Turkmen people - Akhal-Teke horses. Turkmenbashi Spiritual Mosque and Mausoleum in Kipchak. Overnight in Ashgabat.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mary Region 350 km . Visit to Ancient Merv. It was located at the road crossing of the Great Silk Road, quickly became one of the largest and biggest cities of the ancient world, and was one of the most important capitals of Islam along with Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus. Guided tour: Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, Soltan Sanjar Mausoleum, Ibn Zeid Mausoleum. Return to Mary city. Overnight in Mary.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast drive to “Farap” border (290 km)
